"Coach of the Month", important recognition for Gvozdenovic

Starting from the 2025/2026 season, the Football Federation has decided to award the "Coach of the Month" trophy to the best technicians in the Superiore. A trophy that aims to evaluate the work of each coach in the elite championship in Albania.

The technical directorate of the Albanian Football Federation (AFH) has selected Elbasan coach Ivan Gvozdenovic as the coach of the month for August. In the two weeks played in August, the Elbasan team managed to win one match against Flamurtari and draw with Egnatia.

In a statement after the award, coach Gvozdenovic thanked the staff and players, saying that he would not have won this trophy without their help. Among other things, he also praised the work of other coaches in the Albanian championship.

"I'm a little emotional. I want to thank the Albanian Football Association, my staff and the players. Today I didn't win, today we all won together. Without my staff and without my players, I wouldn't be here today. I'm very pleased and happy.

" We will fight hard and we will believe, but in Albania we have many good coaches, not just me. Maybe I was lucky for the month of August," said Elbasan coach Ivan Gvozdenovic.

The next match for Elbasan will be against Dinamo, where another positive result is expected, despite the level of difficulty.
