The Albanian national team played two matches in September, a friendly against Gibraltar and another in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Latvia.

The Reds won both matches, with penalties scored by Jasir Asani and Kristjan Asllani. Coach Silvinjo used almost the entire 25-man roster, with the exception of Myrto Uzun, who had physical concerns.

In the first match, Uzuni was on the bench, while against Latvia he left for the stands along with Maldini Kacurri.

Albania, after the victory over Latvia, moves up to second place in the group. Behind it is Serbia with 7 points, then Latvia with 4 and Andorra with 0.

Now all eyes turn to the important October away match against Serbia. The Reds will do everything they can to maintain their position in the World Cup race.
