For more than an hour, Albania faced a widespread problem in the functioning of the ".al" domain, leaving dozens of websites of public institutions, media and private platforms out of service.
According to reports, the outage has affected a large number of online services, making it difficult for citizens to access state portals and business websites operating with Albanian domains.
Official sources from the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority (AKEP) report that the problem is related to operating systems abroad, which manage parts of the ".al" domain infrastructure.
As a result, hundreds of online services, both public and private, were out of service, while users reported inability to access main websites.
Authorities are expected to provide more details on the full cause of the problem and the timing of services being restored to normal. / CNA
