Silvinjo leaves amid emotions: Albania will remain special

Silvinjo will no longer be the coach of the Albanian National Team. At the press conference organized this Tuesday at the "House of Football", the President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, introduced the new coach of the National Team, the Italian Rolando Maran, while the Brazilian technician greeted the red and black family for the last time.

Excited, Silvinjo thanked President Duka for his trust, the Albanian Football Federation, the technical staff, the Albanian footballers and fans for their support and shared journey during his 3 and a half years at the helm of the National Team.

"Thank you President. For me too, these are two emotional minutes. We have decided to close this cycle together, a cycle of 3 and a half years in which we have worked very well to represent this national team, a nation.

A nation that has welcomed me very well and I thank them very much. Now I know Albania, Tirana very well and I want to thank you very much. I also thank the President for the trust, for the work, of course over 100 people who work in this federation. Many know well what we have done. We have had the opportunity to have lunch, dinner with some.

"I want to thank the technical staff. All the players who have made a journey of 3 and a half years with us and we have all grown together, of course I also thank the very kind fans towards the national team, for us it has always been a very positive sign. We have always worked to do the best", - said Silvinjo.

The Brazilian coach also recalled his first message on the day he took charge of the Albanian National Team, on January 9, 2023.

"I don't have much to say today. I remember from the first day I was here, it was January 9, 2023, I said something: 'Soul, heart and sweat should never be lacking.' I said this on the first day and we all made it together.

I want to thank all of you who are still listening to me today after 3 and a half years and much success to the new coach, Roland Maran, congratulations for the new cycle. All the best to the Federation and to the President. Thank you very much!”, – concluded Silvinjo.
