Russell triumphs in Singapore, McLaren wins constructors' championship

George Russell secured his second win of the season and fifth of his career, triumphing in the Singapore Grand Prix. The British Mercedes driver, starting from pole position, controlled the race without leaving any space for his rivals.

Red Bull's Max Verstappen, who started from second place, was unable to overtake him and was forced to maintain the pace to hold on to second place until the end.

McLaren's two drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, finished in third and fourth place respectively, securing McLaren's constructors' title for the second consecutive year and the tenth in the team's history.

Ferrari had an uneventful race, with Charles Leclerc losing fifth place to Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) with eight laps to go. Lewis Hamilton suffered brake problems at the end but managed to hold onto seventh place ahead of Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), who came in eighth after a slow pit stop.

The top ten was completed by Oliver Bearman with Haas-Ferrari and Carlos Sainz, who started from the bottom of the standings after being penalized for Williams' irregular DRS system.
