Pioli "furies" Fiorentina, demands respect for contract

Fiorentina have been in a full-blown crisis after their home defeat to Lecce, which has deepened a very difficult season for the purple team. After this negative result, it became clear that the relationship between the club and coach Stefano Pioli has reached a critical point, however, an immediate separation is not easy. Pioli, who has a contract valid until 2028 with a salary of 5.5 million euros gross per season, has no intention of resigning, putting the club in a difficult financial position.

The club's offer to Pioli includes a payment equivalent to a year's salary, but the coach seems determined not to accept, demanding full respect for the contract.

If Pioli's contract termination agreement is not finalized, Daniele Galoppa, the current Primavera coach, is likely to take over as interim manager. He could lead the team in both Thursday's Conference League match and next weekend's league match against Genoa.
