From Skënderbeu to the World Cup, the story of the midfielder

Midfielder Kwasi Sibo made his debut for the Ghana national team in September 2025, during a match against Mali in World Cup qualifiers.

The player first wore the jersey at the age of 28, marking a turning point in his international career. His inclusion in the final list for the 2026 World Cup was followed by earning a starting place in the African national team.

During this tournament, he started against England and played throughout the round of 32 match against Colombia, where Ghana was eliminated after a narrow 0-1 defeat.

In his past, Sibo has been part of the Albanian championship, where during the summer of 2019 he was transferred to Skënderbeu, a team with which he played 16 matches and scored one goal.

The midfielder is currently a free agent after ending his contract with Spanish club Real Oviedo.
