Chelsea remains "dry", Xhaka's future is decided

Granit Xhaka is expected to continue his career at Sunderland, despite Chelsea's interest during the summer transfer window.

The Swiss-Albanian midfielder was one of the team's most important players last season. Sunderland finished the championship in seventh place and secured participation in the Europa League, with Xhaka playing a significant role in this achievement.

During the season, he played 36 games in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing six assists. Chelsea made a formal offer for the 32-year-old, but it was rejected by Sunderland's management.

According to reports, his transfer to Stamford Bridge is now considered very difficult. The player himself seems determined to stay at Sunderland, while the club considers him an important part of the project for the new season.
