Is Ronaldo retiring from Portugal? Ronaldo reacts and clarifies his future

Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed rumours of a possible retirement from the Portugal national team after the 2026 World Cup.

This reaction came immediately after the 2-1 upset triumph over Croatia, where the striker himself scored one of the goals that secured the Lusitanians' qualification for the 1/8 stage, where they will face Spain.

News of a possible departure was initially sparked by statements from his sister, but CR7 stressed that he does not make rash decisions and that he will only decide on his future after the tournament is over.

"I don't make such reckless decisions. I'll decide after this tournament is over," Ronaldo replied.

Currently, the captain's full focus remains on his journey to the World Cup with his national team.
