Defeat with Kosovo, Sweden coach makes decision about future

Sweden coach Jon Dahl Tomasson has refused to resign after the loss to Kosovo in Gothenburg, which has caused strong reactions in the Swedish sports community.

After four matches in Group B, Sweden is ranked last with just one point. The only hope for the 2026 World Cup remains through the Nations League play-offs, although this possibility is very small.

Meanwhile, Kosovo has climbed to second place with 7 points, three less than the leading Switzerland. Tomasson stated that he has no intention of leaving and that he still has the team's trust. He admitted that the result against Kosovo was very poor, but stressed that the team can react.

Former Swedish striker Johan Elmander publicly demanded that the coach leave, calling on the federation to intervene.
