Sensational from Italy, Vardy towards transfer to Serie A

Jamie Vardy could be on his way to Italy. Cremonese are in talks with the player, who is a free agent after leaving Leicester.

The 38-year-old striker, a legendary figure at the English club, is looking for a new adventure after 13 years at Leicester, where he was the protagonist of the historic Premier League title under Claudio Ranieri.

Cremonese, who were promoted to Serie A, are hoping to convince Vardy to make the step up to Italian football. The club believe the striker's experience will help them in their bid for survival under coach Davide Nicola.

The latter started the season with a surprise 2-1 away win over Milan. In addition to Vardy, Cremonese are also working on signing striker Faris Moumbagna from Olympique Marseille on loan with an option to buy.

Negotiations are underway and it is expected that the coming days will bring concrete developments.
