Luis Diaz gets a heavy penalty after tackling Hakimi

UEFA has handed Luis Diaz a three-match Champions League ban after a serious foul on Achraf Hakimi in the match between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Colombian was sent off for a dangerous tackle that injured the Moroccan defender. According to Bild, he will miss the next three matches, against Arsenal, Sporting Lisbon and Union Saint-Gilloise.

UEFA's decision came as a surprise and has caused discontent within the Bavarian club, which had expected a lighter suspension. Bayern has requested an official explanation from UEFA on the reasoning behind the punishment. The club is considering an appeal in the hope of reducing the sanction.

For now, the team will have to prepare for the upcoming matches without one of its key players on the sidelines.
