Bundesliga/ Leverkusen wins, Stuttgart with champions' performance

Bayer Leverkusen achieved a crucial 2-0 victory over Freiburg at the BayArena, to climb to fifth place in the Bundesliga and extend their unbeaten streak to six matches.

After a difficult start, Kasper Hjulmand's team took the lead in the 23rd minute through Ernest Poku, while Tapsoba sealed the result with a header in the second half. Freiburg were left with 10 men after Lienhart's red card and were unable to react.

In the next match, Stuttgart defeated Mainz 2-1 at the “MHPArena” and recorded their fifth consecutive victory in the championship. Mainz took the lead with Amiri’s penalty in the 41st minute, but just a few minutes later Fuhrich equalized with a precise shot from distance.

In the 79th minute, Undav scored the winning goal after an assist from goalkeeper Nubel. With this success, Stuttgart climbed to 18 points, while Mainz suffered its fourth consecutive defeat in the championship.
