"From West to East" / Shkodra Symphony Orchestra, a reference point

The Shkodra Symphony Orchestra, after the reformatting process and now under the artistic direction of Elda Laro, has returned to the stage of the "Migjeni" theater.

In this concert, titled "From West to East", together with the orchestra, the renowned soprano Ana Naqe performed, who, under the direction of Elda Laro and the symphony orchestra, brought to the Shkodra audience a selected repertoire of works by renowned Albanian and foreign authors.

"A person always has emotions, but Shkodra is an emotion. My name is Ana Naqe, because in Shkodra, naqe is a soul. It couldn't be otherwise, I have good emotions. It's a great emotion to perform with Elda Laro because she is one of the greatest artists I have known in my life. The whole world knows and honors her, it's fantastic. She supports young artists and has a big heart and accompanies you like no other. I tell the orchestra to give their maximum and always cooperate. They cooperate and listen, they are very good", said soprano Ana Naqe.

For the Artistic Director of the Shkodra Symphony Orchestra, Elda Laro, this was the first concert under her direction. She emphasized that preparations will continue to bring big names of Albanian music to the Shkodra stage, who will perform alongside the city's symphony orchestra. Laro also answered the question "Who conducts the orchestra when it is in Germany?"

"It's not the first time I've conducted this orchestra. As an artistic director, it's a different feeling, even more responsibility and more work to make a concert as good as possible for the public. It turned out well because the orchestra responds quite well. My heart beats faster than anywhere else but in a positive way to motivate me for more work. I have an assistant who is Eri Daja, he conducts when I'm not here. The next concert will be even bigger, there will be a tenor like Sajmir Pirgu and a pianist like Klevis Gjergji and the orchestra will be at an even higher level", said Elda Laro, Artistic Director of the Shkodra Symphony Orchestra.

This concert of the Shkodra Symphony Orchestra brought special emotions to the audience and proved once again the great artistic potential that Shkodra has to offer. With the dedication of the artistic director Elda Laro and the collaboration with renowned names in Albanian music, the Shkodra Symphony Orchestra aims to become a reference point for art and classical music in Shkodra./ CNA
