“Natyral Razma Resort”/ Ideal destination for mountain holidays

Amidst the fresh mountain air, dense pine forests and the tranquility of untouched nature lies “Natyral Razma Resort”. Its construction began in 2009, a difficult time and without access to tourism or infrastructure. However, Sherazi Kastrati, the owner of “Natyral Razma Resort”, chose Razma with the perspective of the future.

" The resort started operating in 2009, so it's been 16 years. While the idea we had came from a tourist agency that we owned in Shkodra and taking into account what we thought would happen in Shkodra in terms of tourism. We considered Vermosh, Theth, Rzëm. We chose Razma taking into account time and history. So Razma had all three of these more favorable than all the other points. We chose "Natyral Raazma" based on nature, a characteristic part of our country. Second, the position, the place where it is. When we thought of a hotel or resort, we had a German architect who insisted on the variety of services that should be offered. It doesn't have to have an endless surface, since a resort can also include a building that is much smaller but offers several services.

The work started from 0, because back then it was an unbuilt road. There were existing houses due to the conditions of that time. The road started to be built that year after we had opened, there were extraordinary difficulties. Even today there may be people who do not know Razma, so we need more promotion. Then came the pandemic, which had great difficulties because in relation to mountain tourism there was an extraordinary bonus, as people understood the value of the air and the mountain. In this relation Razma offers it very well. The name Razëm comes from Azëm, so it is good for asthma by addressing health tourism. Razma offers many types of tourism. I am glad that today it is a major year-round destination. Annual mountain tourism does not have a season opening, it opens on January 1 and closes on December 31. This is the reason we came here because we could very well have gone to the coast for investment , "said Kastrati.

After the pandemic, it seems that mountain tourism has gained another boost. Not only Albanian visitors but now from every corner of the world.

" I don't know the figures for Theth or Vermoshi, but if we talk about Razma, the area has a ratio of 80% Albanians and 20% foreigners. This figure was especially high during the pandemic. With the movement of foreigners, we no longer have only summer, winter, but also spring. It is autumn a little less. Mountain tourism has a significant increase in tourists who climb the mountain. Foreigners have a specificity, in Razma there are Western Europeans up to America. It is a very good clientele ," said Kastrati.

The rooms and suites at the “Natyral Razma Resort” are designed to combine modern comfort with a warm alpine atmosphere. Traditional wooden furnishings, windows overlooking the forest or the rugged peaks of the mountains, and natural elements used in the decoration create a peaceful and inspiring environment.

" We have 27 rooms, bar, restaurant, swimming pool, massage service, sauna. Games for children, bicycles, snowmobiles, we try to have a variety. We have guides, both on-site and online. About 14 guides, starting from half an hour to 15 hours. Foreigners have the education of hiking in the mountains, we Albanians have already started too. Razma is lucky to have everything inside. There is peace, accommodation and relaxation within the resort, and the distance from Razma to Theth, Vermosh, Velipojë is within a day. There are foreigners who stay for 10 days and every day there is an attraction in different places. They stay in Razëm but use the mountains and sea at a distance of 70 km, these are bonuses that God has given us and we must use them ", said the owner of "Natyral Razma Resort".

The resort's restaurant is another asset. The cuisine offers a mix of traditional Albanian recipes and selected international ones, always with fresh local products. Natyral Razma Resort is a destination for all seasons. In summer, it offers opportunities for hiking on mountain trails, exploring the beauties of the natural park, cycling or picnicking in nature.
