Nationwide Children's Song Festival

On Friday evening, the 63rd edition of the Nationwide Children's Song Festival began with an evening full of emotions and energy in the square in front of the "Migjeni" theater in Shkodra.

On the first night, 14 new songs were presented to the public.

14 new songs were performed: 9 in the "Junior" category and 5 in the "Little Ones" category, bringing to the stage the voices of the new generation of Albanian music.

Music editor, Bardhyl Hysa, as well as moderators Edona Reshitaj and Erdit Asllanaj, appreciate the artistic level and enthusiastic atmosphere of this festive evening in Shkodra.

" It was wonderful, it was a big responsibility to be honest. My experience is not small on stage, but not great to present a festival of this size. But the energy and confidence of the young children on stage gave us confidence to spend an evening like today ," said Asllanaj.

" You have no idea that I was coming to Shkodra for the first time. I came earlier in passing, but today I came for real. I have been dealing with children for a long time, but I had never had the chance to lead such a festival. We have emotions, regardless of experience, emotions are inevitable. Wonderful children, I am a mother of 2 children and I know their energy. You people of Shkodra are extraordinary with that kind of talk ," Reshitaj said.

" It turned out to be a good start in front of this temple, in front of the theater. I think this year was special because we brought songs from all regions and the most famous composers. The choir was in good shape, the one that gives light and voice to this festival. I hope that the same thing will continue on the second and third nights and that this festival will be a true celebration of children ," said Bardhyl Hysa.

A special moment was the appearance on stage of young singer Nikol Çabeli, winner of the 61st edition of this festival and recent representative of Albania in Junior Eurovision. Returning to the city where her success began, Nikol said that it was the most beautiful experience for her.

"I feel very good and very excited that someone else will go and try my experience. Whoever wins will have the most beautiful experience of their life ," said Nikol Çabeli.

The 63rd edition of the Festival will continue with the second night, where 15 more songs will be presented in the competition. For the first time, the winner of this festival will represent Albania in the Junior Eurovision./ CNA
