The photo album "Folklore Sounds of the Shkodra Region" was promoted in Shkodra.

This publication, supported by the Shkodra District Council, documents the participation of the Folklore Ensemble of this district in the National Folklore Festival of Gjirokastra.

"This publication is not simply a collection of beautiful artistic moments but is a living and precious desire for our cultural heritage. It invites us to take an exciting journey through the rich history of the folklore of the Shkodra Region and reminds us that our music, dances, costumes, customs are not only spiritual treasures but are strong pillars of our national identity," said Edmond NDOU, chairman of the Shkodra Region Council.

"Let it also serve as a tourist guide for all those places where young people, foreign tourists, are also equipped with this cultural passport, which is a guide to a centuries-old culture that we inherit," declared Majlinda Angoni, prefect of Shkodra District.

Shkodra, known for its extraordinary contribution to the field of folklore, has been and remains one of the most important centers of traditional Albanian culture.

"The main purpose of this album book has been and will always remain, deep respect and gratitude for all the wonderful bearers and artists who have played an important role in preserving and enriching folkloric traditions," said Ridvan Karakaçi.

"In the pages of this book, the reader travels to our roots, where tradition breathes through song, dance, and folk costume, elements that are not simply part of the past but also live in our cultural daily lives," said Maxhid Cungu.

"This photo album is a passport of our culture to show who we are, who we were, but it should also have a vision of what we should be in the future, that is, where we are going," said Bardhyl Hysa.

"To stem the rapid flow of the river of oblivion, this photo album is a perfect tool," said Zija Vukaj, President of the Writers' League.

"Today we live in a time when folklore is threatened by the laws of nature with developments, evolutions, modernity, technology, communication that have increased greatly. In this perspective, this album gives us the opportunity to serve as a document of great value for future generations," declared Zef Çoba, composer.
