Achievement Assessment Testing/ Kadija: 1231 students in Shkodra participated in

5th grade students across the country, including Shkodra, have taken the state exam, thus concluding the primary cycle of study. The Director of the Local Education Office in Shkodra, Brisela Kadia, says that in Shkodra, there are 1231 students in 63 schools who have taken part in this important test.

" Today, the process of assessing the knowledge of primary school students is taking place. I like to call it a process and not a test so as not to give it the weight of psychological importance to students. It is a test that is carried out to assess the knowledge that students have gained in the 5 years of primary education. Only students who attend the 5th grade are subject to it and are organized in 13 exam centers and 63 schools with 1231 students who have undergone this process are included ," said Kadia.

There is a special exam for students with disabilities, while the goal is to also see the level of all 5th grade students in general.

" We have 14 students with different abilities who have their own special test but of course also a teacher who will assist them throughout the testing process. The main purpose of this process is to assess the knowledge that the students have gained and the key competencies that the students have acquired in Albanian language, mathematics and natural science. There is also another purpose to see the level of updating of this knowledge in real situations but on the other hand to identify deficiencies and the need for intervention in the learning process ", said Kadia.

Based on the experience of past years, the results of 5th grade students in this exam have been consistent with their results during their school years.

" The results that the students actually received at the end of this process were in line with the level they achieved in the 4 years of primary education. It is not that there were fluctuations on the day of testing from the assessments that these students received during the 5 years of education. There were no problems in this year's process, either in the management of the process or in the assessment of this exam that the students took ," said the director of the Shkodra Primary Education Department.

After this exam, 5th grade students get ready for the next school year by starting a new path in their education./ CNA
