“Equal Art”, a unique artistic experience for children in

The immersive exhibition “Equal Art” has opened at the Digital Arts Gallery in Korça, a multimedia show that brings a unique experience for children and not only. Inspired by the book of the same title, developed in collaboration with the European Union, the exhibition promotes strong messages about inclusion, tolerance and equality.

British writer Alice Taylor, who adapted the book into English, expressed her excitement about this unique artistic project. Taylor adds that the message conveyed is extremely important for children, emphasizing that everyone is equal, regardless of origin, language or appearance.

" This is the first time that something I've written or been involved with is turning into another art form because it's not just about writing a new page. It's now an artistic experience, an exhibition and something completely new, immersive. I've never been to an exhibition like this before. I'm very excited about this, as well as for the children who are coming. I'm a little nervous too but it's a fantastic experience for me. I work in television, I practice photography, I write books but this is a different dimension. I'm proud to be part of it. It's not something that happens only in Tirana, but children in every city in Albania can experience this experience. The most important thing is the message, that everyone is equal, no matter how tall you are or what color your hair is, where you're from or what language you speak. This is something very important for a child to understand. Bullying is a problem in every country in the world so the message is very valuable ", said Taylor.

The book's author, Gentian Minga, emphasized the importance of this exhibition as an alternative way to make the book accessible to more children. For Minga, this exhibition is a more engaging way to communicate with children through graphics, sound, and immersive elements.

" This multimedia show in the city of Korça is based on a book that we once developed with the EU, "Equal Art" which is not for sale and for this reason, such exhibitions are very good because when we produced the book we shared it with as many children as we could but since it is not accessible to everyone, this show will be. In addition to being accessible for a long time, it is a show with graphic, sound, immersive elements, it is very special and attracts children even more. The message that we want to give about inclusion, inclusiveness, diversity goes even more easily to children who are young. There are also the concepts of tolerance that we want to spread as messages and moreover, it is a good thing that comes to a city like Korça and I am very happy that children from another city that is not Tirana, have the opportunity and access to something so modern and contemporary as an immersive show ", said Minga.

GAD Director Arbri Malile noted that "Equal Art" is the first exhibition at this gallery to be inspired by a children's book.

He emphasized that the exhibition aims to influence not only children, but also parents, by conveying a clear message about the value of diversity and the importance of raising young generations in an open and equal society.

"" Equal Art" is a very special exhibition of its kind. In addition to the fact that it precedes the June 1st holiday and children all over the Albanian territory, but not only the tourists who come and visit us recently at the Digital Arts Gallery, it is a special exhibition for the reason that it is the first exhibition that comes to this gallery adapted and inspired by a children's book. We are already used to the fact that the largest category that has passed adult visitors are children. This is precisely what puts us in a position or obligation to often bring back works of art, experiences especially like today's, that have a direct, very strong message, not only for children, but also for parents, about how they should grow up in a world where everyone is different, diversity is a precious value and we all need to be more peaceful with each other" , said Malile.

The “Equal Art” exhibition in Korça is not just a cultural activity for children, but a powerful call for a more just and inclusive society. With a unique combination of art, technology and education, it invites little ones to reflect on the most essential values ??of life, equality, acceptance and love for change.

An experience that leaves a mark, not only in the children's memory, but also in the way they will see the world around them./ CNA
