Miran Pali is from Shkodra and has been working in the hotel and tourism industry for 8 years. For the second year in a row, Miran manages the 'Globe' Hotel.

Situated in a privileged position, just a few minutes from the golden sandy beach of Velipoja, Hotel 'Globi' is more than a hotel. It is a home away from home. This hotel conveys a feeling of warmth, which is rarely found in large tourist structures.

"This is a hotel structure, consisting of 23 different environments. We have double, triple rooms and apartments for 5 people. Our main clientele is Kosovo Albanians. Every year at the beginning of the season we try to do something a little different, to start the season gradually. So we think that part of what is taken should be gradually reversed. Here was also the idea, to start this year differently than other years. We have been dealing with the tourism part for 8 years and currently tourism has experienced a gradual growth. We started with a few rooms, with 3-4 and now we have managed to have 24 different environments. We have adapted the structures to the tourism of the area, since most Albanians from Albania and those from Kosovo come several people together, we have adapted the environments and the kitchen to cook", - says Pali.

However, dealing with tourism is not easy at all. Velipoja still has its challenges, starting with infrastructure and even strong competition, but Mirani has managed to become a factor in the tourism sector.

"It's really tiring, but there's also an extraordinary pleasure. I have a passion for contact with people and I do it with pleasure, despite the long hours because you have to work almost non-stop from June 1 to September 15. Velipoja is among the most beautiful beaches on the Albanian Riviera, and absurdly, it's one of the least developed areas. That's why I say we have it a little more difficult than the rest of the coast, but I think we've managed it so far. As for our hotel, we've adapted it to several packages where, in addition to accommodation, we've accompanied it with breakfast or other meals depending on what the client wants. We offer different daily or weekly packages," says Pali.

This year the season started differently. Mirani, together with the existing fair of this unit, decided to dedicate the first week of June to KLA war veterans. The interest was immediately extraordinary.

"I have been renting this structure for 2 years. I have found a wonderful collaboration with the owner, where last year, we dedicated the first 5 days of June to people in need. This year's event is for a group that has contributed to society, and who better than war veterans. After the martyrs, they are the most important people, who have shed blood for Kosovo, and Kosovo is part of Albania. This would not have been possible only thanks to me, but also with the agreement of the owner of this hotel, whom I thank for the opportunity he gave me. I made the announcement on my Facebook page and shared it as an announcement that the first 5 days of June will be free with accommodation and breakfast for KLA veterans. A member of the Kosovo parliament contacted me and he made the announcement. There has been a boom in calls, over 3 thousand calls. It is impossible to accommodate everyone, but we are currently working at maximum capacity these days. I am very happy that these "We have dedicated the day to war veterans and invalids," said Pali.
