Opposition with ChatGPT?!

This Monday, the meeting of the College of Chairmen took place at the blue headquarters, led by the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.

In the long speech he gave to the democrats present, Berisha addressed a number of issues, while also leaving an unusual message.

According to Berisha, DP members should download applications that use Artificial Intelligence, such as ChatGPT, Cloud and Gemini, to their mobile phones.

In the eyes of the leading democrat, these applications will provide extraordinary assistance in opposing what he described as propaganda and fabrications of the socialist majority.

"You should download all the AIs. Download them, have them on your mobile phone. ChatGPT, Grok and Gemini. There is a need. There is an accuracy that is increasing more and more. Of course, sometimes they have hallucinations. But their help is extraordinary. You should have those applications in order to oppose the slanderous propaganda, the fabrications that they make," said Berisha.

But should there be opposition through AI, at a time when the Democratic Party, as the second largest political party in Albania, which has governed the country at certain periods and above all, claims to have a strong political reaction?

How can propaganda be opposed with apps, even though they are a tool of the times, and above all, how can opposition be made with ChatGPT by a party that aims to be an alternative to the government?!

In retrospect, it seems like the Democrats "fell in with their feet" when it comes to the help coming from Artificial Intelligence in politics, as they were the first in the opposition to come out against Diella, the Minister of Public Procurement created with AI, first introduced as an innovation in the "Rama 4" government.

Perhaps Berisha's statement was a hasty request, as despite the great help that comes from technology, Artificial Intelligence threatens public trust in the eyes of voters and cannot shape the political strategy of the largest opposition party in the country.

If the opposition has been reduced to the point of being led by ChatGPT and AI, perhaps it is time for some reflection . /CNA
