SP Assembly in Lushnja/ Rama: Integration, the motive of our communication

Prime Minister Edi Rama participated today in the meeting of the Socialist Party Assembly in Lushnja. Rama stated that the main motive for launching this communication campaign is the membership negotiations.

Rama said that the Socialist Party has decided to hold these meetings to inform people about Albania's affairs, which according to him are not reflected in the media.

He also spoke about the claims that there is a blockage in the negotiations, saying that this is untrue because everything is being implemented according to the points of the European Commission's plan. The head of government also spoke about the opposition, saying that they are the only ones who, according to him, have spoken badly about Albania in European institutions.

"The main motive of this communication campaign is related to the moment the country is going through and the historic challenge of opening and closing membership negotiations. We have decided to be close to the people to inform them about the affairs of the country about which they see or hear little or nothing in the information mirrors, where lies and fabrications prevail. To sit and hear only bad and gloomy, something happens in terms of motivation. We do not have the opportunity to correct others but only ourselves and improve our work. To share with people where we are and where we are going.

They said that the negotiations were closed, the doors of the EU were closed. There is neither a blockage nor a ban, because we are moving according to the points of the European Commission's plan. The negotiations continue. What is important is that we do not lose focus because of all this noise and do not lose the sense of historical responsibility to enter Albania into the EU. This is the first time that fate has smiled on Albania like this. In 11 months, we have opened all the chapters, like no other country. All the countries that have entered the EU have had internal political wars, but it has not happened that the opposition of that country goes and says stop the negotiations. It does not happen that parties go to the streets of Europe and curse their country. Only those that do not face us but only behind us do this. They go and massacre their country" , said Rama. /CNA
