Minister Hoxha meets VanHorn: The US remains a key ally and strategic partner

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, received in a meeting the United States Chargé d'Affaires in Albania, Nancy VanHorn.

Through a post on the 'X' platform, Hoxha shared footage from the meeting, while emphasizing that Albania stands by its allies for international peace.

"Pleased to meet the United States Chargé d'Affaires in Albania, Nancy VanHorn.

We reaffirmed the strong and enduring partnership between our two countries, our close cooperation and our longstanding friendship, as well as our unwavering alliance within NATO. The United States remains a key ally and strategic partner for Albania.

We discussed regional and global security developments, including the current situation in the Middle East. Albania stands firmly with its allies in supporting efforts to prevent the Iranian regime from acquiring nuclear or other weapons of mass destruction and to protect regional and international peace. The security of our allies is non-negotiable.

We also exchanged views on our continued cooperation, the importance of regional security, strengthening democratic stability, and Albania's path towards EU membership," Hoxha said./CNA
