The leader of the "Mundësia" Party, Agron Shehaj, reacted after the developments in the Assembly, stating that the majority defended Belinda Balluku and that today's vote was against justice.

According to Shehaj, what happened in parliament was expected and showed that Prime Minister Edi Rama supports justice only when it deals with political opponents.

Shehaj added that Rama has confirmed his stance through reactions on the X platform, claiming that the fight against corruption is harming Albania more than corruption itself.

According to him, the goal is to denigrate justice in order to prepare public opinion for legal changes that would lead to the "recapture of justice."

"What was expected happened in the assembly, that the majority would defend Belinda Balluku. With the decision they made, they showed that Rama is not in principle with justice, only when it comes to dealing with his opponents. The attacks on justice have been going on for a long time. Today we are facing a vote clearly against justice.

I have raised these concerns about this issue in meetings I have had at the US State Department, with senior officials, where I discussed the position of the "Mundësia" party.

Rama has confirmed today, with the stance he took in X, that the fight against corruption is harming Albania more than corruption.

In fact, this is the goal, to denigrate justice in order to prepare the ground in public opinion so that tomorrow the law will be changed and justice will be restored and what is happening will be stopped.

"While SPAK is requesting for the first time the suspension of Balluk from office, her arrest has been requested in parliament. She has become such a big problem for Rama that he was forced to cross the rainbow that he went from a position of criticism but in defense of justice to a position against her, where with the cardboard votes he stopped the arrest of Balluk," Shehaj declared./ CNA
