Parliament rejects SPAK's request for Balluk/EU delegation reacts

The EU Delegation to our country has reacted after the rejection of SPAK's request to lift Belinda Balluku's immunity.

In its response, the EU states that commitment to the new state and the fight against corruption are important for membership.

Further, in its response, the EU delegation states that it is essential to ensure an appropriate environment for SPAK to carry out its task.

" The European Union is aware of the outcome of today's vote in the Albanian Parliament. Commitment to the rule of law and the fight against corruption are of essential importance for the EU accession process. Ensuring an appropriate environment for SPAK to effectively carry out its work is essential to credibly support Albania's progress towards membership in the European Union ," the reaction said.
