World Law Congress in Tirana/ Rama: Evaluation of justice reform

Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that on May 6 and 7, the activity preceding the World Law Congress to be held next year will take place in Tirana.

Rama states that the World Law Congress is a high-level platform that brings together political leaders, lawyers and international experts in the field of justice. 

According to him, the selection of Albania as the host country for this platform is directly related to a high assessment of the justice reform.

"This week Tirana will become a reference point for one of the most essential topics for the future of the country, which is the rule of law. On May 6 and 7, we will host the activity that precedes the World Law Congress, which will be held next year in collaboration with the World Association of Jurists."

The World Law Congress is a high-level platform, under the patronage of King Felipe of Spain, that brings together political leaders, jurists, and international experts in the field of justice. 

But, beyond the importance of this event itself, the selection of Albania as the host country for this platform is directly related to a high assessment of the justice reform and the stage in which this affirmed transformation is today. 

Justice reform has not been an easy process. It has required iron political will, difficult decision-making, and an extraordinary willingness to make profound changes.

"This process has been made possible and is guaranteed all day today by the parliamentary majority of the Socialist Party. Therefore, the fact that Albania becomes the host of such a global platform for the rule of law is a source of pride for everyone, but especially for us, the government of this majority ," said Rama. /CNA
