The first day of school… and the price of cheese!

The new SP MPs will hold a training, summer school, party school... Beyond the sarcasm that this decision has caused, I think it is positive, as people who come from different backgrounds receive lessons in the legislative field.

But this is a completely peripheral issue, in relation to public interest. And yet, this was news in all types of media. There were even those who had approached the deputies, in direct connection, with microphones in hand, and asked them which lecturer is your favorite (at least ask what you expect to learn).

A day ago, news broke that, according to Eurostat, in Albania in 2024, food was more expensive than in the EU. For some basic items, the price jumped to 131% of the EU average. Very few media outlets, yes very few, published the news. And no one analyzed the situation.

WHY?

No one asked how much wheat was produced this year?

How much milk was produced by our livestock farms?

Why is cheese more expensive in Tirana than in Berlin?
