"Decoding" the United States' message!

"We congratulate the people of Albania on the parliamentary elections and look forward to continuing our close partnership with Albania" - that's what America said.

Political commentators have not yet "decoded" this message. Citizen commentators, on the US embassy website in Tirana, are almost all critical. They expected America to declare the elections invalid and not recognize the government that emerged from them.

While political activists have a different approach. Those in the opposition say: America has congratulated the people, not the government, not Rama, not the SP. So it does not recognize this government. But on the other hand, the government's supporters say that this is a congratulatory message anyway. Meanwhile, the opposition's claim of theft and manipulation is not mentioned at all. In conclusion, neither side has reason to rejoice in this message.

How did the people celebrate? – many people ask.

Okay, let's leave "big politics" for a moment, because we can't do it. What if we think that the message is addressed to the people: "Congratulations on the elections. If you made the right choice, halal and peace. If you made the wrong choice, hak and peace for what you chose."

Isn't this an excuse?

But Rama stole the votes, bought them, blackmailed the voters, the debate continues...

We accept it!

But, if someone or some have sold their vote, now let them bask in the sun and wait for the next elections. They deserve the government they have.

If someone or several people voted simply to keep their jobs, to stay and keep their salaries, and not complain.

If those who protested and continue to protest against the government voted for the government again on May 11, this is not the government's fault.

If somewhere, an entire tribe voted for the government because their cousin who works for the state asked them to, they should keep it because they have their rights again.

If those in Greece voted massively for the government because their cousin in Albania asked for this honor, who gave the names and phone numbers to the patron saint, they should continue to collect tobacco and peaches on farms and not forget to bring money for their parents here, because their pension was extended by 5 days, for bread and coffee.

Has the state machinery and crime had an effect in some areas where some deputies "shined" with votes? Yes, I am convinced. But the result cannot be justified with these. The DP should sit down and start a political overhaul. If it doesn't want to, it should stay because there are other alternatives.

Our democracy has problems, but no one from outside will come to solve them for us , and we don't have to curse Macron and Meloni for congratulating Rama before the elections are over. In France and Italy, no one cares who congratulates the prime minister or the president.

In 1991, when Albanians were freed from communist slavery and were given the opportunity to choose freely for the first time, they voted again for the slave owner, Ramiz Ali and his party full of criminals (a unique case in the world). Then the US intervened and supported the opposition Democratic Party in the almost violent overthrow of the last communist government. Later, we saw America again, "rolling up its sleeves" and counting the votes in Tirana, to support the election of Lulzim Basha as mayor. We have also seen it take on the role of guardian, by listening to our politicians to reach an agreement.

What do we expect today, for Secretary Marco Rubio to assign a subordinate to come and recount the votes in the boxes contested by the opposition?

Remember, American foreign policy has recently been called "America First."

Accustomed to political babysitters, we expect others to certify our mayoral elections.

So, beyond any reading we can do, that message could be even simpler, a "cut your neck off and solve your own problems."
