Aeroporti i pari në botë që mundëson lëvizjen pa pasaporta

Duke nisur nga viti 2024, "Changi", një aeroport i Singaporit, mund të lejojë qytetarët të largohen nga vendi, pa nevojën e pasaportës.

Kjo do të bëhet e mundur me anë të teknologjisë biometrike, e cila pritet që të krijojë një "shenjë" të vetme vërtetimi.

Në këtë mënyrë do të eliminohet nevoja për dokumente fizike udhëtimi.

Ministrja e Komunikimeve, Josephine Teo, i ka quajtur ndryshimet në Aktin e Emigracionit si “Zhdoganimi i imigracionit pa pasaportë”.

“Ndryshimet e ardhshme do të zvogëlojnë nevojën që pasagjerët të paraqesin vazhdimisht dokumentet e tyre të udhëtimit në pikat e kontaktit dhe të lejojnë përpunim më të qetë dhe të përshtatshëm“, tha Teo.

Teknologjia biometrike, së bashku me softuerin e njohjes së fytyrës, është tashmë në përdorim deri diku në aeroportin Changi në korsi të automatizuara në pikat e kontrollit të imigracionit.

Aeroporti Changi i Singaporit u shërben mbi 100 linjave ajrore që fluturojnë në 400 qytete, në rreth 100 vende dhe territore në botë./ CNA
