Murder of young Albanian in Italy/ Suspected perpetrator, victim's compatriot, arrested

The suspected perpetrator of the murder of 25-year-old Albanian KM in Italy has been arrested. The perpetrator is suspected to be Albanian, while his identity has not yet been revealed.

The carabinieri of the Pisa investigative unit, who are investigating the incident, after collecting witness statements at the scene and also after reviewing video surveillance cameras in the area, immediately issued a search warrant for the person suspected of shooting the 25-year-old.

Investigators had notified all police forces, instructing them to search for an Albanian citizen who had fled the scene in a gray Range Rover. His escape did not last long as the suspected perpetrator was stopped by two traffic police patrols and did not resist.

The motives for the murder are still unknown, but it is suspected that everything happened after a conflict between them. The victim was shot with a barrage of bullets while he was a passenger in a car with two other people. /CNA
