Two people have been arrested in Pogradec after they attempted to forcefully take a 17-year-old boy, physically assaulted him, and injured him with a knife.

The incident is suspected to have occurred after a conflict for weak motives, while citizens M. Xh. and AH were arrested for the criminal offenses of "Unlawful Deprivation of Liberty", attempted, and "Intentional Minor Injury", committed in collaboration.

According to police information, the 17-year-old was injured with a knife in the hand. It is reported that he has received treatment and is out of danger.

They attempted to forcefully take a 17-year-old into a vehicle, physically assaulted him and injured him with a knife, for weak motives, 2 citizens were identified, arrested and handcuffed.

Immediately after receiving notification of a conflict in neighborhood no. 3, Pogradec, the services of the Pogradec Police Commissariat were dispatched to the given address, with the aim of preventing the escalation of the conflict, identifying and apprehending the citizens involved.

As a result of the rapid actions of the Police services, within the framework of the coded operation "Fast", citizens M. Xh. and AH, who had fled the scene by vehicle, were identified. They were caught and detained in cooperation with the services of the Prrenjas Police Station.

The investigation suspects that these two citizens attempted to forcefully take into their vehicle a 17-year-old with whom they had a conflict for weak motives, exercised physical violence against him and injured him with a cutting tool (knife) in his hand. The 17-year-old received medical treatment and is out of danger for his life.

At the end of the actions, citizens M. Xh., 33 years old, and AH, 32 years old, residents of Pogradec, were arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of "Illegal Deprivation of Liberty", committed in collaboration, attempted, and "Intentional Minor Injury", committed in collaboration.

The procedural materials were referred to the Korça Prosecutor's Office for further action. / CNA
