A 59-year-old man has been arrested in Shijak for possessing weapons, ammunition and narcotics.

Citizen Sh.V. has been arrested, suspected of the criminal offenses of "Trafficking in weapons and ammunition", "Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", "Illegal production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons" and "Production and sale of narcotics".

From the searches in his apartment, the police found and seized as material evidence: 2 pistol firearms with magazine clips, 3 shotguns, combat ammunition of various calibers, weapon parts, 3 pairs of binoculars (1 for the weapons), 1 drone and 8 cold weapons (knives), 24 doses of the suspected narcotic substance Cocaine, 1 electronic scale and 6 cell phones.

Police are working to identify other people involved in this criminal activity.

The 59-year-old man who possessed them in the apartment was arrested in flagrante delicto.

Investigations suspect that this citizen trafficked weapons with the intention of selling them in Shijak.

The Narcotics Investigation Specialists of the Durrës Police Department, in cooperation with the Shijak Police Commissariat, in continuation of their work to crack down on criminal activities, based on information obtained through operational channels, organized and finalized the operation codenamed "River".

As part of this operation, citizen Sh. V., 59 years old, resident of Shijak, was arrested in flagrante delicto, as a suspect for the criminal offenses of "Trafficking in weapons and ammunition", "Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", "Illegal production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons" and "Production and sale of narcotics".

During the operation, a search was conducted at this citizen's apartment, where the following were found and seized as material evidence:

-2 pistol firearms with magazine cartridges, 3 shotguns, combat ammunition of various calibers, weapon parts, 3 pairs of binoculars (1 for the weapons), 1 drone and 8 cold weapons (knives);

-24 doses of the suspected narcotic substance Cocaine, 1 electronic scale and 6 cell phones.

Work continues to document the criminal activity of this citizen and identify other citizens who may have been involved in these criminal activities.
