10,000 expired and smuggled supplements seized/One person wanted

A warehouse containing expired and smuggled supplements has been discovered in Tirana. Over 10,000 food and herbal supplements have been seized as part of Operation "Audienca".

Meanwhile, the administrator, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been declared wanted, while two employees have been criminally prosecuted.

Police announcement:

Tirana/The Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section and the Prosecution Office are finalizing the operation codenamed "Audience".

It was discovered that a warehouse in Tirana was holding expired and smuggled supplements on behalf of an entity with international activity in the field of digital advertising.

Over 10,000 food and herbal supplements are seized.

The administrator of the entity (a citizen from Bosnia and Herzegovina) is declared wanted, and 2 employees are being criminally prosecuted.

After an investigation using proactive methods, conducted under the direction of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, to document the illegalities being committed in the warehouse in the capital, of an entity with international activity in the field of digital advertising, the operation codenamed "Audienca" was finalized.

During the search of the premises of the entity, specialists from the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section found and seized over 10,000 expired food and herbal supplements, without the stamp of the Medicines Agency and the Ministry of Finance, as well as without labels in Albanian.

Following the procedural actions in the case, the administrator of the entity, a citizen from Bosnia and Herzegovina, JT, 53 years old, was declared wanted, and the employees who were on the premises of the entity, citizens JG, 30 years old and M. Ç., 26 years old, were criminally prosecuted.

Efforts are underway to capture the 53-year-old.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecution Office, for further action, for the criminal offenses of "Smuggling of other goods", "Storage or storage of contraband goods", "Trading and transporting contraband goods", "Hiding income" and "Importing, producing, selling and storing food dangerous to human health or life". /CNA
