Stolen BMW seized in Germany/ 42-year-old suspected of trafficking wanted

A 42-year-old citizen has been declared wanted, as a result of a large-scale police operation codenamed "Stolen line", against the trafficking in Albania of luxury vehicles stolen abroad.

The buyer of the trafficked vehicle, who was also its driver at the time of the stop in Vora, was also criminally prosecuted.

Meanwhile, a "BMW M-8" vehicle, worth around 140,000 euros, suspected of being stolen in Germany, was seized.

As a result of the investigative work carried out within the framework of the "Stolen Line" operation, with the objective of cracking down on cases of trafficking in Albania of luxury vehicles stolen abroad, specialists from the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Trafficking found another case in this field.

Following the procedural actions, 1 vehicle type "BMW M-8" was seized, worth approximately 140,000 euros, which, upon verification, resulted to have been stolen in Germany.

In connection with this case, the citizen suspected of having brought the vehicle to Albania with the intention of selling it, FH, 42 years old (a Kosovar citizen), was identified and wanted, and the buyer of the vehicle (also the driver of the vehicle at the time of the stop), citizen ED, 39 years old, was criminally prosecuted.

Efforts are underway to capture the 42-year-old.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action, for the criminal offense of "Trafficking in Motor Vehicles". /CNA
