Robbery in Greek jewelry worth around 600 thousand euros/ 2 Serbian citizens

Two suspects were arrested in Bulgaria and Croatia under European arrest warrants issued by Greek authorities for a robbery at a jewelry store in Halkidiki, Greece, which amounted to 580,000 euros in watches and valuables.

The robbery took place on September 2, 2025, at a jewelry store inside a hotel in the Greek resort town south of Thessaloniki.

Officers from the Northern Greece Sub-Directorate for Combating Organized Crime identified the two suspects, who are said to be Serbian citizens aged 48 and 46.

The suspects are said to be members of the 'Pink Panthers', an international criminal network composed mainly of Serbian and Montenegrin nationals that specializes in jewelry theft.

According to Interpol, the group, which has approximately 800 key members, is responsible for some of the most daring robberies in the history of organized crime. /CNA
