Shot at Police/45-year-old arrested in Tirana

Last night, at around 23:00, as part of Operation "Forest", the Police services entered the apartment of citizen LA, who, upon seeing the Police officers, fired a gun at them and then, taking advantage of the darkness and the terrain, fled towards a wooded area.     

Police services have been pursuing him and after almost 2 hours of searching in the forest, they have managed to neutralize, capture and handcuff citizen LA, 45 years old.      

Also, the Police services have seized as material evidence the Kalashnikov firearm, with a cartridge in the chamber, that this citizen had with him, as well as a cutting tool (knife), which he possessed without permission.   

 The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action./CNA
