Threatened a person with a firearm/ The 45-year-old man is handcuffed

A 45-year-old man has been arrested in flagrante delicto by Specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Section of the Durrës Police Department, following a report of threats with a firearm.

According to the Police, EK, 45 years old, a resident of Xhafzotaj, is suspected of having had a conflict with ED, 38 years old, on February 16 in "Kodra e Rrashbullit", and threatening him with a suspected automatic firearm, for weak motives.

During a search of the arrested person's vehicle, the Police found the core of a live ammunition cartridge. Investigations are ongoing to locate the firearm used and fully document the circumstances of the incident.

This case comes after a quick reaction by the Durrës Police, who arrested the perpetrator directly after the report, avoiding further risks to citizens.

"Specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Section of the Durrës Police Department, as a result of investigations conducted following a report by a 38-year-old man about a citizen who had threatened him with a firearm, arrested the citizen in flagrante delicto:

-EK, 45 years old, resident of Xhafzotaj. 

This citizen is suspected of having had a conflict on the street, for weak motives, with citizen ED, 38 years old, on 16.02.2026, in the place called "Kodra e Rrashbullit", and having threatened him with a suspected automatic firearm.

During the investigation, the Police services found the core of a live ammunition cartridge in the 45-year-old's vehicle.

"Investigations are ongoing to find the firearm, which the perpetrator hid after the incident, as well as to document the circumstances of the case," the police announced. / CNA
