Investigated by SPAK and sentenced to prison/ 52-year-old man on international

An Albanian citizen who is internationally wanted was arrested at the entrance to Albania at Rinas Airport. The authorities arrested and executed the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the RM citizen, 52 years old, resident of Vlora.

Police Announcement: 

The Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, with decision no. 63, dated 22.06.2020, has assigned to this citizen the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Trafficking in narcotics", in collaboration, within the framework of a structured criminal group, "Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity", committed in a special form of cooperation, that of a structured criminal group, "Structured criminal group" and "Participation in a structured criminal group".

The aforementioned citizen was investigated within the framework of a criminal proceeding by SPAK, where the investigations resulted in him being involved in collaboration with other citizens, in the trafficking of significant quantities of Cannabis Sativa from Albania to EU countries, in the period 2016-2018.

The materials will be transferred to the jurisdiction of the Special Prosecution Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime./ CNA
