Police uniform and gun in car/ 32-year-old handcuffed

Elbasan police have arrested a 32-year-old man who had placed police vests similar to those in his vehicle.

The police statement states that the 32-year-old was using the fenelin with the intention of camouflaging himself as an official vehicle to avoid police checks.

Also during the search, a firearm with cartridges was found on the detainee.

The operation codenamed "Camouflage" is finalized.

State Police structures continue intensive controls to prevent and crack down on any illegality that violates public order and security.

The services of the Elbasan Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Road Traffic Sector, based on information obtained on operational routes, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Camouflage".

As a result of this operation, citizen EE, 32 years old, resident of Peqin, was caught red-handed and put in handcuffs.

This citizen was located in the village of Bradashesh, driving an "Audi" type vehicle, on the front of which he had placed flares similar to those of the Police, with the aim of camouflaging it as an official vehicle and avoiding checks by the Police services.

During the search of the vehicle, the Police found a firearm, a pistol with cartridges, which was seized as material evidence, along with the drugs and the vehicle.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan, for the criminal offenses of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Unauthorized possession of a uniform".

The State Police remains maximally committed to preventing any attempt to challenge the authority of the law and to guarantee the safety of citizens.
