A 45-year-old Chinese woman has been prosecuted after attempting to leave the country without declaring thousands of euros and dollars.

During the second-line check, the 45-year-old was found to have 61,755 euros and 10,000 US dollars, which she intended to take out of Albania without declaring it in accordance with the law.

The amount of money was seized as material evidence.

A 45-year-old Chinese woman is being prosecuted for attempting to leave the Republic of Albania with 61,755 euros and 10,000 dollars, without declaring them according to the law.

As a result of detailed controls at the entry/exit of the country, with the objective of preventing and detecting illegalities at the border, the Rinas Border Police services, in cooperation with customs services, have detected another case of non-declaration at the border crossing point of significant amounts of money.

In this case, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen A. Ë., 45 years old, with Chinese citizenship, who during the second-line check was found to have 61,755 euros and 10,000 US dollars, which she intended to take out of the Republic of Albania, without declaring them in accordance with the law.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
