Tried to bribe officers to avoid alcohol test/ 43-year-old arrested

Durrës Police have cracked down on a case of attempted bribery of officers.

As a result, 43-year-old Xh. S. was arrested, who was driving while intoxicated and offered money to employees to avoid the alcohol test.

An alcohol test showed that the 43-year-old was driving while intoxicated at a level of 0.92 mg/l.

The arrested person is accused of driving under the influence and corruption.

Durrës Traffic Police crack down on another case of attempted corruption of Traffic Police employees.

The 43-year-old was arrested for driving while intoxicated and, in order to avoid a breathalyzer test, offered to surrender to police officers.

The Traffic Police Sector Services at the Durrës DVP, during traffic monitoring to identify and punish violators of the Traffic Code, on "Vllazërimi" street, have stopped the vehicle driven by citizen Xh. S.

The driver of the vehicle, at the time of the stop, attempted to bribe the police officers by offering them money, in order to avoid the alcohol test.

The alcohol test showed that this citizen was driving while intoxicated, at a level of 0.92 mg/l.

At the end of the actions taken, the citizen Xh. S., 43 years old, resident of Durrës, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of “Active corruption of persons exercising public functions” and “Irregular driving”.

The investigative materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action.
