Drug dealer/ 50-year-old arrested in Korça, his accomplice sought

A 50-year-old man has been arrested in Korça on charges of distributing narcotics. The citizen with the initials MM was placed in handcuffs.

At the time of the arrest, a package containing approximately 104 grams of the narcotic cannabis sativa was found and seized from the 50-year-old as material evidence.

Investigations revealed that he was collaborating with a 37-year-old KM, alias AM, resident of Korça, who was declared wanted and work to capture him continues.

The Narcotics Investigation Specialists at the Korça Police Department, in implementation of the plan of measures drafted for 2026, with the objective of preventing and combating criminal activity in the field of narcotics, based on information obtained in the operational field about a citizen who was distributing narcotics in the Korça area, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Drenova".

As part of the operation, citizen MM, 50 years old, resident of Drenova, Korça, was captured and arrested in flagrante delicto.

At the moment of arrest, a package containing approximately 104 grams of the narcotic cannabis sativa was found and seized from this citizen as material evidence.

Investigations revealed that the 50-year-old was collaborating with citizen KM, alias AM, 37 years old, resident of Korça, who was declared wanted and work to capture him continues.

In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, work continues on the complete legal documentation of the criminal activity of these citizens.

The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Korça Court of General Jurisdiction for further action. /CNA
