Athens explosion solved / Suspected perpetrators, two Albanian brothers,

Greek authorities have solved an explosives explosion that occurred in October last year at a discotheque in Athens, where one person was injured and extensive material damage was caused. Two Albanian brothers have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Charged with serious criminal offenses, the two defendants admitted to the incident, while one of them said he was paid for the attack. However, he refused to name the people who paid him, fearing for his life.

Regarding the explosion, he indicated that on October 7, he arrived at the scene with his brother using a borrowed car, owned by a woman.

After getting out of the vehicle, he took the bomb he had in a bag and left it in front of the store. As he left the scene, he pressed a button he had with him and the explosive material exploded.

Both the 40-year-old and his 32-year-old brother have been charged in the past with several criminal offenses such as theft, lewd conduct, robbery, fraud, dangerous bodily harm, forgery, as well as drug law violations. /CNA
