78-year-old man in Korça lost his life/Criminal incident suspected

Police confirm that today's incident is not related to death from natural causes, but is a criminal incident. The 78-year-old was hit in the head with a hard object, which caused his death.

All family members and relatives of the victim were accompanied to the police station where statements were taken regarding possible conflicts.

To shed light on the dynamics, motives and perpetrator(s), the police and the prosecution are using special investigative methods. The investigations are focused on two tracks: that of robbery resulting in death, despite the fact that no money or valuables were found stolen from the victim's apartment, and murder for other motives.

Police Director Vilson Bala has been at the scene since morning, accompanied by Deputy Director of Crimes Elton Halili and Chief of Police Faik Ruko, to inspect the scene and find elements to solve the incident.
