Today is the deadline for registering political parties in Kosovo for the early elections on June 7th.
In a statement made yesterday, CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi announced that up until that moment, 18 parties had confirmed their participation, 4 others had confirmed their non-participation, and a coalition consisting of 2 political parties had been registered.
" The period for political parties registered in the Republic of Kosovo to notify the CEC of: participation or non-participation in the elections and formation of coalitions is ongoing. This period began on May 1 and will end on May 7. So far (Wednesday, May 6, 2026, 12:00) the CEC has received notification of participation in the elections from 18 political parties, non-participation from 4 political parties and 1 coalition consisting of 2 political parties ," said Elezi.
