Zelensky: Ukraine will start exporting domestically produced weapons

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that his country will begin exporting domestically produced weapons, lifting a restriction introduced when Kiev declared a state of emergency.

"We decided to open our arms exports. These are powerful systems tested in real war," Zelensky said.

 Zelensky, at the UN General Assembly in New York, said that Ukraine wants to show its partners that Ukrainian weapons are reliable and modern.

"You don't have to start from scratch, we are ready to share what has already been proven effective in protecting the real world," the president said.

Ukraine's domestic arms exports have been severely limited since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, a result of the declaration of martial law in 2022, with everything coming off the production line diverted to the war effort./ CNA
