Trump administration presents Gaza peace plan to Arab leaders

The Trump administration presented Arab leaders with a 21-point peace plan to end the war in Gaza on Tuesday at a meeting at the UN General Assembly, US special envoy Steve Witkoff said on Wednesday.

Witkoff expressed confidence that there will be some kind of progress in the coming days, but did not go into details.

"We had a very productive session," Witkoff said of the meeting between President Donald Trump and a U.S. delegation of Arab leaders.

"We presented what we call Trump's 21-point plan for peace in the Middle East, in Gaza," Witkoff said at the Concordia summit in New York.

"I think this addresses Israeli concerns, as well as the concerns of all neighbors in the region," Witkoff said.

 "And we are hopeful, and I can even say confident, that in the coming days we will be able to announce some kind of progress."/ CNA
