Prime Minister Kurti's advisor is detained at the border by the Serbian

The political adviser of the prime minister of Kosovo for Presheva, Medvegja and Bujanoc, Ardita Sinani, said that she was stopped for " over an hour " by the Serbian police on the border with Kosovo on Monday.

Sinani said that the Serbian border police stopped him on August 7 at the Mucibaba crossing, about 20 kilometers from Gjilan in the southeast of the country.

"The only excuse given to me by the border police of Serbia is 'We have an order for your detention and we cannot allow you to cross the border without obtaining consent from the base,'" Sinani wrote on Facebook.

Presheva, Medvegja and Bujanoc are three municipalities with an Albanian majority in the south of Serbia.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Serbia was not available for comment on this case.

The former mayor of the Municipality of Preševo ??complained that she was stopped without "any additional clarification about the reason, or who is the basis that should be asked and get permission to cross the border."

"This may be the cost of being a Political Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, but it will certainly not be the means by which the voice for the rights of the Albanians of the Presheva Valley will be silenced," she wrote .

This case, she underlined, will certainly only be "an even greater push to speak even louder" about Serbian state discrimination against Albanians.
