Amnesty Law/ Liabilities worth 313 million euros are hidden or extinguished

The Tax Directorate has announced that the process of automatic cancellation of tax liabilities for beneficiary taxpayers continues, according to the provisions of Law No. 86/2025.

According to taxes, so far, liabilities worth 313 million euros have been written off or extinguished for 121,630 taxpayers, while the process continues for all beneficiaries according to the law.

As of 10.06.2026, payments for the benefit of conditional forgiveness of tax liabilities, fines and late payment interest have begun, according to Law No. 86/2025.

For the period 2015–2019, 50% of the principal obligation is forgiven, as well as full forgiveness of fines and late payment interest, if the remaining 50% is paid at once from 10.06.2026 to 30.06.2026.

For the period 2015–2019, a 25% write-off of the principal obligation is obtained, as well as a full write-off of fines and late payment interest, if the remaining 75% is paid from 10.06.2026 to 31.12.2026.

For the period 2020–2024, full cancellation of fines and late payment interest is obtained if 100% of the principal obligation is paid from 10.06.2026 to 31.12.2026./Monitor.al
