Pope Francis has stated that the Catholic Church is open to everyone, including the LGBT community, but within the framework of its rules.

During his visit to Portugal, a journalist reminded him that during the visit he had said that the church was open to "everyone, everyone, everyone" and asked him if this also applied to women and the LGBT community, since according to the journalist these category, they did not have the same rights and could not receive some sacraments.

"The Church is open to all, but there are laws that regulate life within the Church," the Pope replied.
